This was a lovely little project for a new young family moving to Manchester, the theme was 'Beach House'. Using the customers chosen pallet I prepared the walls and ceiling by sanding and filling. All walls were previously painted in magnoila with the living room feature wall in dark red. I used Dulux SuperMatt in Brilliant White to eliminate the old colour (the red wall needing 6 coats), Valspar Matt on the walls and Dulux Diamond Eggshell on the woodwork. The rooms were previously drab and uninspiring, they were then revealed to be bright, summery and felt much bigger.
A larger project consiting of stripping and rennovating a staircase ready for a new carpet runner, refreshing a dark master bedroom and updating a loft study. The customer was tired of her old decor and although the original Morris & Co wallpaper in the bedroom was stunning but the room desperately needed some light and rejuvination. I used Johnstones High Gloss in Brillant White on the woodwork, Dulux Diamond Eggshell on the walls, Dulux Supermatt Brillant White on the ceilings - Bedroom was finished in Dusted Moss and the Study in Brushed Fossil. This was a wonderful high spec project for a delighted customer in Cheshire.
This was an extenisive repair project in Chorlton. The customer specified a fine finish to this 1940s home.
The walls were repaired after new french doors and electrics had been installed, the walls were sanded and filled, lined and refilled where needed. The walls were then painted in Farrow and Ball Elephants Breath on the walls, Dulux Super Matt on the ceiling and Dulux oil-based eggshell on the woodwork. The colour gave the room a contemporary feel while still maintainging a touch of period style. This is one of my favourite style of properties.
